BIT/CARE Team Self-Audit

InterACTT's audit tool uses thirty-five team standards to guide the assessment process. The rubric looks at four main categories:

  • Team definition outlines the team’s purpose and scope of activities.

  • Team operation defines how the team is organized to meet its goals.

  • Case processing describes how the team manages a case from the initial report through gathering contextual information, conducting a risk assessment, implementing interventions, and documenting the case.

  • Continuous improvement supports the team's ongoing functioning, ensures the membership is supervised and trained, and reviews and maintains team processes.

Each category is given one of three descriptors. Area of Concern identifies an area of risk and misalignment with recommended practice. Improvement Opportunity indicates that some revisions are needed to align with the recommended best practice. Aligned with Recommended Practice shows practices are solid, and the team should engage in regular maintenance. Select the descriptor that best fits your team for each item. You will have the option to add the rationale for your choice.
